Ready, Set, Go!!

So, I am new to this. I wrote this on Thursday, August 8th, 2013 and failed to publish it! Pete, Charlie, and I are preparing to welcome a foreign exchange student to our home tomorrow. This is our first exchange experience though my nephew Harrison did live with us for a semester a few years a ago while he was in college. Living with Harrison was very easy but we knew and loved him already!!

I plan to write about our experience. The basement bedroom has been cleared of our things, and freshened up for a long term visitor. Our exchange student is Tommaso, a 16 year old boy from the Tuscany region of Italy. We know a bit about him from his application and think he will fit in to our home well. He will be here for the school year as part of the CCI Greenheart program. We've read the rules, prepared our own house rules and discussed having a new family member....a teenager, no less.

My sister Pam and brother-in-law John were able to meet Tommaso and his family in Italy a few weeks ago while they were on vacation. They had a lovely time meeting Tommaso's parents Lorenzo and Elisabetta, and his sister Camilla. This meeting was very lucky for all, and made us even more excited to meet our student.
